Chemo Time Again

Please pray for me today, if you can. Pray that this chemo is "easy", pray for emotional strength for me to get through this and for physical strength as well. Although this chemo is relatively easy from the nausea point of view, the fatigue I experience really gets me down and last time I found it very difficult. I know it's going to be 5 days of fatigue and sleeping, and that by Sunday I'll be OK, but it's still hard to get through those 5 days. I'm also experiencing strong anticipatory nausea. This means that I'm getting sick even before I get my chemo. Last time I threw up once before I got my chemo and once fairly soon after (before the chemo really had a chance to do anything). Pray for this to go away.

I also ask that you pray for Marissa. I actually don't know Marissa, other than through the blog, but my Dad knows her husband and her father-in-law. She is battling breast cancer while also having 3 young children to take care of. She has chemo today as well.

Prayers going out to you and your friend.

It seems so unfair to experience nausea before the chemo treatment even begins. I hope this round goes smoothly for you, Tom and the boys -- I know they all share your difficulties.

Thinking of you.

Annette, you're always in my thoughts. I'll say some prayers this Easter week that it will be easier this time so you can enjoy the holidays with your family.

You write so beautifully. I fel very priviledged to have been your blog spot. Sean asked me to stop reading as it was making him sad.

Before you went on holidays with Tom I wanted to say to you that although I have no idea what it is like to have cancer I do know a little about being the very proud mother of a son who has been given a challenge early in his life and still greets each day with a smile that is bold and mischievious. So if ever, anytime, last minute thought, Sean and I can help with the boys, or yourself we would be honoured.

Please know that you are in our prayers. You are so brave. A couple of weeks ago Sean and I were listening to 740 am radio and there was a lady on there speaking about being a survivor of cancer and helping others going through it. I wished you could have heard her. She spoke with such clarity and simpleness (does that make sense). My mother always tells me, (when I feel burnt out) to put my day in God's hands. You just let it go and know that someone more wiser is dealing with it.

Thank you for trusting me with your thoughts.
Mrs. M. Mary McLelland hopefully a new friend.

Hi Annette, I was given this prayer and was asked to pass it on. So here goes

Lord Jesus Christ
Walk through our house
And take away all our worries and illnesses
In Jesus name. Amen

Annette.......Today I said an extra prayer for you....I know you are now two days into this round and I'm praying that you are feeling OK and that the fatigue is not too hard on you. You are an amazing woman and I so wish I could wave a wand and have this Chemo not effect you so hard.

Happy Easter my dear friend.....

Love, Tara Marie

Annette, I am thinking of you and hoping that you are getting through this cycle as easily as possible - sending you some virtual chicken soup and best wishes that you can keep it down! PS It's not so amusing in real life (I know since I experience it myself!), but I can't help but smile when I think of a little someone at your bedside asking for help with his socks in the wee hours...
